If you're like me and have a tough time deciding what you want for brunch—because you want it all—Gezellig gets you. Their 2 for $28 per person Weekend Brunch lets you order two tasting plates.
And if you have little brunchers, they've got a Kids Mini Breakfast for $10. There's even a dessert on the brunch menu, because let's be honest—brunch is the one meal where eating cake after eggs feels completely acceptable.
Vain in Versailles Bistro
Location: 424 Preston Street, Ottawa

Finally in Ottawa, a gluten-free brunch doesn't have to be a side quest for bacon and eggs. Vain in Versailles, or "VIV," is Ottawa's go-to gluten-free brunch spot. It's everything you want in your weekend brunch—sweet, savoury, beautifully plated. The Vancouver-born brunch chain that chose us before Toronto & Montreal (feels good, doesn’t it?) Founded by a Chef with a fine dining background—Yolks is all about taking breakfast classics and making them better. From scratch-made dishes to locally sourced ingredients, every bite feels elevated. Even the ketchup is house-made. So if you're after a proper brunch experience in Ottawa with quality in every detail, Yolks is a must-visit.
The Village Cafe
Location: 5734 Hazeldean Rd, Stittsville

Dukes Ottawa
Location: 40 Adeline Street, Ottawa
Hours: Open every day, 9am to 3pm

A true hidden gem—tucked away on a residential street in Ottawa’s Little Italy. It looks like a house, and the staff makes you feel right at home once you walk in. The vibe is cozy and retro, with just the right amount of charm. Whether you’re craving sourdough pancakes, hearty steak and eggs, or a healthy yogurt bowl, Dukes serves it all with a smile.

These are the spots that offer flexibility—open for that perfect weekend brunch but also giving you a chance to indulge midweek. Sure, they take a day to recharge, but when they're open, they're serving up some of the best brunch in Ottawa.
Chesterfield's Gastro Diner

Location: 1300 Wellington St. W, Ottawa
Hours: Open 9am to 2pm, 6 days a week (Closed Tuesdays)
Menu Highlights: Air-fried chicken Bennys, Jerk chicken Benny, Jerk plantains, Chicken and pancakes or waffles, Shaksuka
Perhaps the city's most popular and best brunch spot that needs no introduction. No Ottawa Brunch list would be complete without mentioning Chesterfields. You know the drill—first come, first serve, no reservations. Chesterfield’s is Ottawa's friendly neighbourhood brunch spot, serving up dishes that taste homemade with "Infamous sides."
Beyond Cafe
Location: 2701 St Joseph Blvd, Orléans, Ottawa
Hours: Open 6 days a week starting at 8:30am (Closed Tuesdays)
Menu Highlights: Crepes, Shakshuka, Toasts, Homemade baked goods, Persian & Turkish inspired dishes, drinks and lattes.
This Ottawa vintage cafe is a true hidden gem that is family-run and feels like a home… from the 1950s. At first glance, they just seem like a cool, vintage coffee shop, but they have a fairly large menu of crepes, breakfast dishes, toasts, and some Turkish and Persian inspired flavours too.
Tirweka
Location: 473 Hazeldean Road, Ottawa
Hours: Sat & Sun 9:15 to 8pm, Weekdays 10am to 8pm (Closed Tuesdays)
Menu Highlights: Fatteh, Pan Fried Eggs, Shaksoka, Turkish coffee
Tirweka is a Middle Eastern breakfast spot that serves Fatteh—a layered dish made with toasted pita bread, chickpeas, yogurt, and various toppings like garlic, pine nuts, and parsley. A popular Middle Eastern breakfast dish that’s harder to find here in Ottawa - the land of Shawarmas. This West-end Ottawa restaurant also serves Turkish coffee, Middle Eastern pies and "Kaak"—a purse-shaped bread covered in sesame that we were too shy to order but you definitely should!
Jax
Location: 479 Bronson Avenue, Ottawa
Hours: 8:30am to 2pm, 6 Days a Week (Closed Mondays)
Menu Highlights: Fried Egg Sandwiches, Banana Bread French Toast, Hash, Bennys
Cozy and casual—Jax is a pretty classic brunch spot here in Ottawa. They take pride in selecting the best local products from our farmers and distributors, proving that local tastes better, especially when it's served with a side of good vibes and an extra crispy hash.
Ratatouille Bistro

Location: 278 Dalhousie, Ottawa Byward Market
Hours: Open 6 days a week, 9:30am to 3pm (Closed Mondays)
Menu Highlights: Benedicts, Omelettes, Cast Iron Skillets, Challah French Toast
This casual fine dining French restaurant in Ottawa's ByWard Market is where brunch takes center stage. Sure, they do dinner too, but brunch is where they really shine. The menu has that French flair: Benedicts that are buttery and rich, a fancy Challah French Toast, and of course Ratatouille. (sadly no croissants here)
